Who We Are

At the Midwest Pet and Handler Contest, our mission is to cultivate a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space for the pet play community. We are committed to fostering diversity, equity, and belonging while promoting education, awareness, and positive change within our unique and vibrant community.

Our primary goal is to select a titleholder who will serve as a dedicated community representative. This titleholder will champion the values of respect, understanding, and acceptance, advocating for the rights and well-being of all individuals who identify with or support the pet play lifestyle.

Through our contest, we aim to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and provide a platform for open dialogue and learning. We believe in the power of unity and empathy to strengthen our community, raise awareness, and promote understanding. Together, we strive to create a space where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves.

Pup Scout

He/Him

President

Scout is an active member of the Chicago, regional, and national puppy and handler community. Identifying as a Husky and an Alpha Dog, Scout gets much satisfaction from nurturing and helping other pups and trainers learn and grow.

Scout is co-owner of The Midwest Puppy and Handler Contest and is co-founder of the Inter-Fetish Coalition of Suicide Prevention and Awareness (IFCSPA). He has spoken in many venues and online forums about suicide prevention, puppy play, and being a little.

Recently, Scout has been spending much time learning about other pet communities by speaking with those who participate in kitty play, pony play, pig play, and more. This has inspired him to work side by side those individuals who are already putting the work in that is necessary to provide ALL pet players the same opportunities that those of the pup and handler communities have. While he knows this will not happen overnight, he is already very impressed by the strides the community has taken to create a more inclusive and equitable space.

Felinyx

Nya/Nyan

Secretary

Felinynx has been living the petplay lifestyle for 7 years, and an active member of the community at large for over 5 years. Felinyx’s pronouns are nya/nyan and nyas disability language is Identity First. Felinyx has devoted nyanself to serving the community through advocating for diversity in all its forms, promoting a welcoming culture, & lending nyas experience and knowledge to educate those around nyan.

Felinyx is somekitty fortunate enough to see titles and groups change to be more inclusive to non-pup pet identities. A founding board member of the Iowa Pets and Handlers, nya is proud to have been able to contribute to this shift in nyas own small ways, including spending numerous weekends traveling to neighboring states to take back culture and governance documents to assist in the formation of Iowa PAH, many late nights drafting their bylaws, and countless one-on-one conversations with members of each community nya’s touched about nyas experiences.

Felinyx hopes to continue nyas work with MW-PAH, providing nyas insight and experience to further the growth and inclusion of our shared community.

Buzz

They/them, Baby/Baby's

Treasurer

A bigender, disabled, and multifaceted pup with a galaxy of personalities, Buzz keeps their paw beans on the pulse of diverse communities across the spectrums of gender, sex, kink, ability, and identity. Whether they’re a goofy clown stooge, a bubbly service pup, an imaginative baby, a ferocious fossa furry, a domme bitch, a gentle handler, a scary alien, or a nurturing caregiver, they keep community laser-focused and at the heart of their intentions. Between sex working online, real working for PretendAgain (an ABDL/babyfur company for the community), and networking locally and internationally, they commit every waking moment to building bridges and offering education wherever possible.
