2025 Pet Contestant

“If you always chose to be the pet when you played house as a kid, chances are you might look a little something like Momo these days.

Puppycat Momo (they/them) is a 24-year-old bratty, non-binary pet from Kansas City, who finds joy through service and strives to diversify the kink community. With their leash held tightly by their Daddy Zach, Momo travels throughout the Midwest and beyond, seeking new ways to be of service and build community.

Their journey into pet play began in early 2020 with the discovery of their local pet play group, Midnight Howl KC. Although the pandemic delayed their first in-person event, Momo spent lockdown connecting online, learning queer kink history, and deepening their passion for the community. Now, as Missouri Pet 2023, a board member of Midnight Howl KC, and an associate member of RUDIS Leather Society, Blue Max St. Louis, and the KC Pioneers, Momo is deeply involved in fostering inclusive spaces.

They’ve volunteered and staffed at events like Wisconsin Leather Pride, Austin Kink Weekend, Midwest Leather & Kink Alliance, OKC Kink Weekend, Southplains Leatherfest, and International Puppy and Trainer. Through their dedication and visibility, Momo demonstrates that the next generation of kinksters is stepping up with pride, curiosity, and respect for those who paved the way.

Momo honors all facets of pet play, believing every critter has a place. No matter your identity or background, they encourage you to embrace your inner animal and explore the joy of pet and critter play.”

Handler Mase

He/Him

2025 Handler Contestant

Handler Mase (he/him) is a lifelong Kansas Citian whose strong Midwest roots have fueled his passion for serving and advocating for his community. Raised by his four first-responder parents, Mase grew up with a deep sense of service, compassion, and commitment to others. These values continue to guide him, especially in his role as a handler, where he works to create safe, inclusive, and affirming pet play spaces anywhere he goes.

In 2013, at just 22 years old, Mase made history as the youngest person to chair the “Back to the Basics” Kansas City Pride Festival. Since then, he has remained a dedicated advocate for inclusivity and visibility, consistently working to uplift and support his community. Mase is a full member of Midnight Howl KC, an organization dedicated to Kansas City’s pet and handler community, where he serves as both Treasurer and (for now) the lone handler on the Board of Directors. You can find him at leather and kink events— especially those centered around pet play-spending time with his husboy Dustin and his other partners, Pup Scruffy and Luke.

Mase believes in turning words into action, especially when it comes to welcoming marginalized members of the community-particularly trans pets, pets of color, and others who often face exclusion or feel unwelcome. To truly be a community that welcomes all, he believes we must be intentional in making that our reality.
